Strength & Stability: Build Strength Through Mindful Movement

Yoga and strength work don't have to be separate experiences. At The LITL Studio, Strength & Stability combines yoga postures with tools such as blocks, weights, and Pilates balls to explore strength, stability, and movement through a fuller range of motion.

Offered in a warm room, this class incorporates repetitive exercise-style movements within and between yoga postures. The result is an invigorating practice that brings attention to how you move as well as how you feel.

Strength is more than effort

Strength training asks muscles to produce force. Stability asks your body to coordinate and control movement. Body awareness helps you recognize how you're moving and when you might benefit from an adjustment.

Bringing these elements together can make movement feel more intentional. Instead of simply getting through repetitions, you can pay attention to alignment, control, breath, and the relationship between effort and ease.

A complementary way to practice

Strength & Stability can be a fun complement to other yoga styles. It offers a different experience from a slow stretch or a long-held Yin posture, while still drawing on mindful movement.

All bodies have different starting points. Choose appropriate options, work within your current abilities, and ask the teacher about modifications when needed.
