Which Yoga Class Is Right for You? Explore the Styles at The LITL Studio
Walking into a yoga studio—or trying a new class—can bring up a familiar question: Which style should I choose?
At The LITL Studio, there isn't just one way to practice. The class offerings span heated movement, functional mobility, alignment-based yoga, foundational practices, Yin, meditation, sound, and more. Each experience has its own pace and emphasis, giving you options for different interests, energy levels, and intentions.
Here's a guide to help you get started.
If you want energy and a challenge
SOULar Power offers an energized, powerful flow in a hot room. 26.2 Bikram Sequence follows a set sequence of 26 postures and two breathing techniques in a heated environment. Strength & Stability blends yoga postures with tools and repetitive movements to explore strength and stability in a warm room.
Go With The Flow links standing, balancing, and transitional movements with breath in a warm class. These classes may be a fit when you're looking for movement, heat, and a more active experience. Review each description to choose the pace and intensity that feel appropriate for you.
If you want to understand how you move
Functional Flow focuses on functional mobility, strength, balance, and body awareness. Steady Flow offers a slower pace, longer holds, alignment-focused cues, and breathwork. Iyengar emphasizes precision, posture, and the thoughtful use of props.
These styles invite you to pay attention to how you move, how you organize a posture, and how different options feel in your body.
If you'd like a more supported practice
Foundational Chair-Supported uses a chair and other props to make movement and transitions more accessible. Slow Stretch offers gentle movement and a slower-paced flow, creating space to stretch and ease into practice.
You don't have to be experienced or flexible to begin. Let the class description and instructor help you find a suitable starting point.
If you want to slow down and turn inward
Yin: Unwind & Unbind uses supported, longer-duration floor postures. Yin-credible blends Yin and restorative-style postures with sound and energy-based practices. Get Grounded: Movement & Meditation combines gentle movement and breathwork to prepare for guided meditation.
Subtle Sounds centers on sound modalities such as singing bowls, tuning forks, chimes, gongs, or chant. Kundalini incorporates movement, breathwork, and mantra as part of a traditional practice.
These offerings provide different ways to explore stillness, breath, sound, and attention.
You can have more than one kind of practice
You might enjoy a challenging flow one day and a slower, more supported class later in the week. You might be drawn to a specific tradition, or you might simply want to try something new.
Your practice doesn't have to look the same every time. Choose based on your interests, your experience, and how you're feeling that day. If you have an injury, health concern, or questions about whether a class is suitable for you, reach out to the studio and your healthcare professional as appropriate.
